Hello! I'm Patty, a web developer, PHP programmer and owner of Web Advances.net

My name is Patty Molloy and I am a true, life long, 'country girl' working as a freelance web developer from my virtual office in rural Snover, Michigan. I am a person who has high passion in programming, and web technologies. I have my dream job of developing beautiful page layouts and also writing  HTML and custom PHP code to create database driven, dynamic content for websites. I love my job so much that I consider going to work each day as a time to play. No, I'm not kidding!

I’ve always had a creative side.  I love to paint realistic paintings using acrylics and also paint pin-striping and custom lettering on vehicles, boats, semi’s, snowmobiles, etc.  My passion for the ‘arts’ and attention to details makes me a perfect fit for designing for the web.

I started my education back in 1995 by first teaching myself HTML then earned a Web Engineering Certificate from the University of Illinois.  I then went on to obtain a BBA in Computer Information Systems, with concentration in Programming, from Baker College and then a MBA in Strategic Management from Davenport University.

Because I helped so many college classmates survive the very steep learning curve of becoming a programmer, many of my professors suggested I consider teaching.   Without much hesitation, it wasn’t long and I became an adjunct instructor at Davenport University’s School of Technology.  I taught many computer related courses to undergraduates including Computer Foundations, System Foundation, Microsoft Office Courses, Web Development, Visual Basic and C++ programming. 

I always knew that I wanted to work full time as a web developer and PHP programmer and is where I am at today and intend to stay!  I've worked with many talented professionals over the years such as SEO experts, superior graphic artists and skilled marketing and communications companies who know this business and keep it interesting.

I’ve also had the privilege of working with many small to medium sized businesses on a continuing basis in creating web based solutions that have lead to great success. My experience has prepared me to accept the challenges in this ever changing world and with my very best effort, will work with your company to make your online venture a success!
